Awesome Christmas Bazaar: Immanuel Lutheran Church

Awesome in Action arrived once again to the Immanuel Lutheran Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar this past Saturday, as the weather brought in the season with snow! Vendors propped up their goodies and crafts while Christmas music hummed in the background, a festive day for all who attended. Santa and his reindeer even showed up to greet the lovely citizens of Loveland, Colorado.

Among the crafty booths, we met a talented and bright young boy named Jace who created wonderful creations from wood. We loved Jace! We exchanged gifts — a cross for an Awesome in Action book called ‘Helping in Action.’ We definitely enjoyed getting to know you and wish you the best as you raise money for Rwanda.

Then we met a special boy named Thatcher, who practiced his reading skills by reading Nick’s book out loud to us. We are so proud and excited to know Thatcher as he begins to become an excellent reader and human.

We thoroughly enjoyed attending the Christmas Bazaar this year, and look forward to coming back next year!

The Masks of Fort Collins Comic Con 3

This August marked the 3rd year that Awesome in Action was able to participate in Fort Collins Comic Con!

Once again, we collected photos of amazing and exemplary costumes and masks in front of our skyscape. Some of the unique, creative & pretty costumes we came across were Hellboy, Kyle & Cartman from South Park, and Deadpool.

“The costumes were so good I was so scared, I hid in the elevator!”

We presented a panel called, “Anyone Can Be A Hero,” and this little guy, Adryian  created a mask to add to his ensemble. His costume was Rocket & Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. His grandmother and I talked about the possibilities of doing a Awesome in Action presentation at Adryian’s school, which got me pretty excited.

T-rex was my favorite because he was funny. He gave me a lot of Trex fist bumps.

I tried to bite Ponto’s head off in light of the zombie apocalypse that was happening around me. I enjoyed being with my crew that day. I want to thank Ponto, Ari, Thalia, Alex & Olivia for volunteering with me at Fort Collins Comic Con this year! If you are interested in volunteering with me for any of my events, please contact me at my website,!

Looking forward to Fort Collins Comic Con 2019!
